Strengths and Weaknesses of the Democratic Party
After this last election many Americans say that the Democrats have unlimited strengths, but even though this was such a different election the Democrats still have the same beliefs. At the moment, one of the Democrat's Strengths is the fact that Bush was in office for two terms. many people both Democrats and Republicans saw George W. Bush as almost a failure, and once Obama got elected people finally found something new and relieving to look forward to, other than Bush. Many people feel that the Democrats are almost guaranteed to win the presidential election again because many people are probably afraid of having another Republican like Bush. One weakness, though, is that the Democrats focus on many special causes that are more than they can handle. They feel that all of the people can be saved, but they can't, and they find themselves unable to focus on more specific issues. They focused on issues such as Bush's enhanced interrogation techniques, which instead they should have been focusing more on universal health care. Finally, one other Strength seems to be that the Democrats come together more easily when needed the most. They seem to support each other and rely on each other tremendously.
