Republicans vs. Same Sex Marriage

Being a Californian in the Bay area i am always surrounded by same sex couples. Personally my view on the matter of them marrying is completely opposite from the Republicans opinions. Republicans believe that marriage should only be for people of the opposite sex, but even though I'm not lesbian i still believe that they should have the right to marry each other. The reason that i believe that they should is the fact that these people are just like any other person. they aren't freaks or different in any way, the only difference is that the men like men and the women like women. Lately, though, many republicans have been going against what they had once believed in. many Republicans are starting to support same sex marriages. many of the Republicans find it to be a burden one the party because people are seeing it as more of  an offense than it really is. Aside from the recent rejections to this issue, there are still those who will always follow their opinions on same sex marriages. Even today there are still large amounts of Republicans who want to ban same sex marriages, but for my personal opinion the Republicans should stop worrying about same sex marriages and focus on more serious issues.
